I think the Police Chief's response is even more outrageous than the cop beating the guy.

It disgusts me a person like that is able to be police chief. He honestly thinks it's okay to beat someone like that because they didn't answer question, or because they were drunk? He's not viewing this crime objectively, he's excusing the crime because of the uniform. Disgusting human scum.

No matter what happened first police are not authorized to use force like that. When someone with special power and privilege commits crimes they should be held to a much higher standard of punishment. This cop will just get a paid vacation and laugh about it with his buddies.

If anybody had done that to a cop they'd be looking at 5+ years and a lifetime as a felon, making it near impossible to find an apartment or job. This guy will continue to suck away at your taxes and abuse his powers.

What bullshit...need a complete investigation my ass. I dont care what happened before the video. He was punched multiple times while subdued and once even in handcuffs. Fucking Pigs...ruins it for all the good cops

That's the thing. Why would police officers want to stick up for this kind of behavior? The only logical conclusion they leave us with by doing so is that they're all bad and don't want to get ratted out. Those with special privilege and power should always be held to higher standards.
