It'll be Miami unless another team offers more than Miami can. It'll be hard negotiating, but in the end, Miami will make the best offer they have to until they don't have anything else to throw in but Bam... and they won't offer Bam.

Correct. They will not, IMO. Nurk isn't reliable enough and Dame isn't young enough.

Miami doesn't have time to wait on that. Bam is reliable. So they can afford to miss Jimmy or Dame a few games here or there.

But with Nurk they lose that. They'll likely be missing both Nurk and one of the others.

Apparently Boston is third in gambling odds behind Miami and Portland for where he’ll end up.

What is weird is that early in this process I think we all would have said Miami, because that's where they wanted to go. It's just incredible to me that he's burned so many bridges here that we all kind of seem to almost be rooting against him going to Miami.

He's had some piss poor representation throughout this ordeal.

This is a good point. Dame has burned all his goodwill in Portland to the point Blazers fans want him NOT to be traded to Miami. I think his camp thought this would put pressure on Cronin to send him to Miami, it's resulted in the opposite.

When we drafted Scoot I was wanting Brooklyn for the package they could offer, but Miami for Dame. Then Goodwin went to work with Dame's blessing and the rest is history. Now I'm no longer a Dame fan, and I find him slimy. I also loathe Goodwin and Miami has become the open sewer of the League and I'm actively rooting for their failure at every level. Yeah poor representation, and even poorer decision making on Dame's part, because at a minimum he agreed to Goodwin's tactics. C'est La Vie!

were talking about one of the greatest bball minds in history (pat riley) going against joe cronin/ownership

surely, pat riley knows what hes doing and why he hasnt offered their best package yet (its a strategy and if he has to, he will eventually offer their best package)

san antonio spurs traded kawhi leonard to the toronto raptors, even though he wanted to get traded to los angeles team, so lets see if joe cronin/ownership do the same
 
Can anyone imagine a scenario where we suddenly reverse course and trade Ant/Nurk/picks for an upgrade? I wonder if Dame would take back his trade request or are we too far removed from that evdn being a possibility?
