Eugenie Bouchard will hit the practice court instead of playing Stuttgart, having dropped both her matches in what became a controversial Fed Cup appearane.

Bouchard, playing in her hometown of Montreal, fell to opponents ranked No. 66 and No. 104 in the tie against Romania. The 21-year-old was not originally been scheduled to play the tie, but during the week decided to join the team for the World Group playoff.

Italian Sara Errani defeated No. 7 seed Agnieszka Radwanska at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix 7-6 (8), 6-4.

Errani won with a typically dogged performance to triumph on Wednesday. She is currently World No. 15.

No. 5 Caroline Wozniacki knocked off No. 3 Simona Halep 7-5, 5-7, 6-2 to advance to the final of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix where she will play No. 14 Angelique Kerber. The German booked her spot in her second straight WTA final with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Madison Brengle.
