Anyone planning on boiling all their water for a while? Planning on drinking nothing but beer all weekend? Gonna do anything else different as a result of the e-coli in the water?

Just saw the Portland/e coli thing reported on CNN. They say it's the first time in 30 years that a city has had a water boil mandate to schools without first having a natural disaster.

Democrats really know how to use those high tax rates to better the lives of their citizens.

meh I drank some last night before i went bed. katu said that repeat test samples from the same reservoir came up negative. they just had positives from 2 or 3 different reservoirs though.
So idk. most likely not an issue.

Portland boil water alert lifted: Here's what to do

But before using tap water, or using ice from a machine, here's what residents need to do:

• Flush pipes and faucets by running cold water faucets continuously for at least five minutes.
• Flush water coolers by running those with direct water connections for five minutes.
• Flush home automatic ice makers by making three batches of ice cubes. Discard all three batches.
• Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle.
• Drain and refill hot water heaters set below 113 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Change all point-of-entry and point-of-use water filters, including those associated with equipment that uses water.
