...damn, that's a great looking pizza. What are those green things?...some look like green onions but some also look like pistachios?

...I don't really care for thick crust pizza that has more bread than toppings...much prefer a thin crust like the one shown in the link.

Neopolitan style pizza reigns supreme. A little soggy in the middle with minimal toppings.

Funny to read all the Twitter posts from whining pizza dorks. Its such a trivial argument, it's no wonder it never ends. It's crazy, there are snobs for every category known to mankind now. Pizza Consultant? GTFO.

I do enjoy a good pizza, but I just can't get in line to suck off some pizza Nazi. For the prices at some of the artisan shops, the pizza should be sucking me off.

Since I'm from Jersey, we stand alone as the ultimate premier pie state. NY Brooklyn pizzerias rate that good.
It's all in the water and the sauce. We invented Tomato Pie. One place called Papa's in Robinsville (once in Trenton) has been around over 100 years.

Chicago Pizza is real pizza too.
NY Pizza is overrated.
Pineapples on Hawaiian Pizza = a good thing.

Don't @ me.

I prefer NY style. I figure if it doesn't have pepperoni it isn't pizza. Good combination with pepperoni is black olive and mushroom.

NY, New Jersey and St. Louis all had outstanding pizza. A good place in Lake Oswego is either Mods or the local Round Table.

Escape from New York on NW 23rd avenue not far from Burnside is also very very good.

...good call.

...never been to Chicago or Portland but as a Georgia boy, we're not exactly known for our pizza...but during my first trip to NYC back in 2002 to finally experience Yankee Stadium I was treated to things I had never seen, heard, smelled, or tasted before...and the pizza I had there was the very best I ever had.

My favorite Pizza joint in Portland, by far. As close to Brooklyn Pizza as you can get on the west coast.

I heard there is some new spot in Portland that has RANCH with every pizza.

You'll always have peaches

I like either pepperoni or ham on my pizza. Not really a veggie on pizza guy. Pinneapples on pizza? I don't get it. Anchovies. Fuck off.

Having had pizza from Portland, Chicago, and NYC... I would easily say Portland is 3rd on that list. Hot Lips is my go to here, and it's REALLY good... but the pizza I had in downtown Chicago in May was the best pizza I've ever had. And in NYC I had pizza twice (once in Hells Kitchen, the other in the Village) and it was far and away better than Hot Lips. And thats saying something.

Ye Olde Pizza Shoppe in Newberg deserves a shout. I grew up on that pizza.

I have one question for all of you. Crispy or chewy?
