It's the most the Spurs have ever lost by in their current building. Yes, Parker didnt play and the cast of characters on both sides are somewhat different but Damian Lillard dropped 35 points and 9 assists there. Our existing guys have confidence they can win there. And we won in San Antonio this season as well. Many of you wanted San Antonio in these playoffs. Well we have them. Let's dominate. Here's to a blowout win tomorrow. Last night was the easiest win we've had in the playoffs. We've found the crack in their armor. Go Blazers!

Maybe closing out the Blazers at home is a gift to his fans?

Maybe his owner wants the revenue from another home game?

I hope.

But you know I found it odd that Pop didn't go for it last night. He wasn't really working refs. He elected to rest his starters for the fourth without making a real spirited comeback. I wonder why yanked the dogs off and decided to not be aggressive.

We'll make him regret this. The 2010 Suns swept the Spurs. The 2012 Thunder won 4 straight against the Spurs. We can win 4 straight too. Pop should've been more desperate to win. Keep in MIND- the last SIX seasons, San Antonio's season has ended with a loss. Let's keep that going.

Maybe he wanted to rest his starters and avoid injury before the inevitable matchup with the Heat?

The only reason the Spurs lost last year is his players were spent. Even Ginobli was done.

We have seen two different Spurs teams in the Playoffs. One that really struggled. And it one that hasn't. I'm hoping the team last night is the team that we see the rest of the series.

They were a bit different than the team we faced in the three previous games.

Ginobili looks already done this year. 2 points on 1 of 6 shooting in 19 minutes last night.

All I know is that win seemed to scare away our Spurs friends that have been visiting the forum lately. A 30pt win might make them suicidal.

Spurs were ridiculously hot in the first half of the first three games. That won't continue and we'll start shooting better. Even last night, the Spurs shot better than us and we won by double figures. Once our shooting comes back, the Spurs will be killed.

Yeah. What happened to them? Running away after one loss? Weak minded, tbh.

lmao.

Hope you're right

I think the Blazers, as Shaq said, put up one of those performances where they realized they were going to get swept and responded. By the end of the game we weren't beating them by a TON and if they have brought on their starters that would have evaporated. Pops was resting his guys for the home court match up where they will be ready.

And I tend to agree.

But who knows...If LA decides to get serious. The rest will follow.

The only reason why they were crushing us was Tony Parker. If Nic can shut him down, that greatly evens the odds.

You can't mess around in the playoffs. The pressure is now on San Antonio. Even Tony Parker said Game 5 was Game 7 for them. They don't want to come back to Portland and watch us tie the series. It's good to know, though, that Pop and the Spurs give up easily. We should build up a big lead again tomorrow.

As soon as the Spurs decide to crank it up again the series is over

Nice find.

Looking at the box score makes me miss Hickson. He had some huge games with us. Hickson had an athletic dimension that Rolo lacks. Now I like our starters far more with Rolo on the team but if there was a way to have kept Hickson and had him buy into the team he would've been an awesome big man off the bench.

Maybe his owner wants the revenue from another home game?

Maybe he wants his core to play as many games as possible because he's tired of coaching them and wants to bring their retirement closer.

Maybe he loves flying and will want to lose game 5 so he can fly 2 extra times.

Definitely

Precisley! The spurs were shooting out of their collective minds (OVER 50% in games 1-3, and 60% for most of the first halves), and Portland was missing layups and dunks. Both anomolies.

Game 4 saw a return to normal for both teams and this gives me high hopes for a game 5 upset.

We absolutely need a good start to tonight's game. No missed layups, no awful turnovers, no lackadaisical defense. If we are +/- 4 going to the second quarter, I'll be feeling great about our chances.

30 points over the Spurs, in San Antonion? What the hell kind of prediction is that? Did Mags and KingSpeed fuse ala Dragon Ball Z?

That's not a prediction. That was the score of a game we won last year in SA.
