REAL PLAYER PRODUCTION
Real Player Production (RPP) is the sum of all the good things minus the sum of all the bad things a player has done since the season began. Although RPP includes all tracked defensive actions, there is no methodology as of yet for adjusting RPP for hidden or untracked defending, such as man to man defending that forces missed shots. Therefore, you should, in order to fairly evaluate the following ratings, remember that the better defenders have done some more for the team relative to the lessor defenders than the ratings are showing.

Sergio is listed as a "Solid Starter"? Quick! Hide this thread from Maris!

Lost credibility early when they had Sergio rated way too high.

More accurately, Sergio-haters lost what little credibility they might have imagined they had.

As Kingspeed says, "Learn the game, then post".

Top to bottom these are the most accurate picture of who is really making this team succeed.

Seems like that statistic tracker should just be called a play time tracker. Not to take anything from Roy, but I believe that the order seems pretty proportional to how much PT players are getting.

A statistical model is only as good as its ability to interpolate a value or extrapolate a trend. Case in point, it rates Nicolas at the bottom in terms of his contributions to this team's success ... that tells me all I need to know about its worth.

So in short, learn statistics then post.

Having Sergio 2nd in the defending sub statistic is hardly accurate, lol. Its tough to argue w/ you man because you will never point out something bad that Sergio does, only the positive, but for every other Blazer its far more negative than positive. A long time ago (I was in Junior High) I had a similar man-crush for Fred Jones as a Duck and then for his first season in the NBA I followed the Pacers just to see his stats and would always argue that if given the opportunity he could be a borderline all-star in a few years. lol. Its similar with you, but it seems you are more extreme. But if this makes you happy than go for it. Different people enjoy themselves different ways, but I found it funny that you tell me to "Learn the game"... :)

Edit - Like if you go back throught he game threads in the past month, you will not mention a stat that doesn't do Sergio justice. If Bayless has more assists and Sergio has more points you will point out Sergio did better because he scored more and say Jerryd had to get help from his teammates for the assists. If its the other way around, your arguement is that Sergio is helping the team play better and doing what a PG is suppost to do while Jerryd is playing as a SG. Then when Jerryd has a better +/- than Sergio you will never point it out, and even agreed at how silly the stat was the night (I think) Jerryd had +9 and Sergio had -9, but when Sergio was the only positive (+1) on teh team in his 19 minutes you point it out as a compliment. When Sergio isn't playing well, you don't say take him out, but when Blake isn't playing super, you say PUT SERGIO IN. You constantly poitn out Blake and Roys short-commings on teh defensive end but never Sergio's, using stats by going to the box score and showing how many steals he has had, or how many points the opposing guard had while Blake/Sergio/Jerryd were on the court as well (not taking into account maybe they weren't guarding him, maybe another PG was on the floor that they were guarding, switches, lack of help defense, etc...) but never seem to point it out when Sergio allows the player to score a lot. It really seems like you are FAR more of a fan of Sergio than you are of the team, which is odd. Any trade that is hugely in our favor but either requires bringing in a PG or trading Sergio or both, you say the other team gets the better end and say "Why would we do that?" and "Thank God KP is the GM" and stuff like that. B-Roy asked you if you would trade Sergio for CP3 and the first part of your answer was... "It depends" and went on to talk about if Roy could play with a guard like CP3. Another thing, last year and at the start of this year who railed on Nate more than anyone I can remember and led the charge at BBF. You said he won't be here next year, and etc... You continued to do it at the start of this year, but once he started playing Sergio 15mpg you changed your tone completely and now say no other coach would help this team (Addelman, Poppovich) and Nate should be COY. Its funny as hell, but kinda sad at the same time.

I'm not trying to point out your flaws here, because I think we all have a favorite player we want to see succeed, but its tough to argue with you.

Nicolas Batum 460.55
Jerryd Bayless 208.85
Channing Frye 188.20

This is really the most accurate chart there, i'm not sure what for. But its at least close. With Jerryd though, he doesn't get enough minutes to qualify, imo, or his production would far outweigh lots of players on that list as we saw when he averaged 10.5ppg, 3apg and 2rpg during Blake's absense.

Dude made his real NBA ratings and had Marcus Camby as a historical player..... ya.

Figures...

Holy Crap!

Are you actually going to defend the matador by saying we need to "Learn the game"? That's a joke, right? You are going to use a scale that places Canby in Historical Star status to do so?

Learn the game, then post right back at you.
