Wow. This guy is a breath of fresh air. He doesn't come across as arrogant and condescending. He's direct, and he's complementing the efforts of other people on his team.

Are we sure he's qualified to be a GM?

I think once he starts wearing suits and spray tanning, he'll fit right in.

Hmm doesn’t sound like Walker will be a two way

They can wait until the end of summer league or until most of the roster changes have shaped out before deciding on the contract Walker gets.

Why isn't the Grant trade official yet?

Could be Grant physical.

I think league won't finalizing any trade by draft day unless its done a number of days prior.

Or it could be that it will be finalized in July. That allows POR & DET to roll sign and trades, a third team, or other activity into the trade.

tax is determined on the day of your last regular season game.
Then I don't know why they wouldn't just make it official. Maybe they (us or Detroit) have other irons in the fire and are trying to make it a three way before it's official.

Yeah, no clue either, but the other irons is definitely a potential reasoning. Could be a waiting to see how other deals play out to see if there is 3 way potential, like you said, or ways to combine salaries on other deals. Seems pretty straight forward currently, so would think there's the potential at least for a follow up to be tied in.

Any chance we move bledsoe in the deal instead of the tpe? I dont see detroit needing that much capspace

I wish, but I doubt it. However, it could be that Bledsoe is part of the consideration of making it in to a 3 team deal. Can't really think of why it would be neccessary currently, but maybe it...creates a TPE somewhere or something.

I had read Detroit having some brunson interest, but have to imagine with landing Ivey, that's completely gone. Backcourt is set for the future. And Ayton was an obvious suggestion, but they just drafted Duren. I dunno who they'd target with cap space. Bridges, most likely, as a home state guy?
