Potential small forwards tonight

Yup yup, then we can bank on him getting injured and collect insurance money from it.

Then we swing him for a younger SF.

It is a vicious cycle. :D

The gift that keeps on giving...the perpetual trade exception. ;)

1a) Wallace
1b) Butler
2) Keep RLEC

I'm not in the least interested in The other SFs mentioned. And I'm only interested in the other two if Webster and Sergio are leaving. No to trading Outlaw for either player unless Portland gets a PG in addition to a SF. Otherwise I think Portland can do better this offseason.

Butler may be better but I just haven't seen enough of him. The statline judge says Wallace is a better shooter and needs fewer shots to be effective. Wallace gets to the line more often, rebounds better, and plays two positions. Wallace seems more efficient and is two years younger. He doesn't shoot the three well but Porland has several good three point shooters already. Outside of Roy what the starting unit doesn't have is someone that can drive to the hoop, finsh and/or draw a foul. That happens to be one of Wallace's greatest strengths.

I wish I didn't have a preference, but I really want Wallace or Butler. I don't want Jefferson or Carter, as I think they're too old...among other things.

Jefferson is younger than Butler by a few months. FWIW. They're both 28, not 29 as someone else said.

Jefferson would be by the far the easiest to acquire. I don't see why Charlotte would move Wallace, even for money reasons, in just a dump. Same with Butler. The Bucks though, want the cap space more than anything, and we can give it to them. Jefferson would be a great option 2b with Roy (1) and LMA (2a)

Think about this. Jefferson's name is the only name you have not heard in a "real" rumor. The only place Jefferson's name has come up is when Canzano did his bit that a random caller to his radio show was going to determine the trade rumor he was going start. That caller said "Blazers trade for Jefferson and Rid." Canzano put up a post on his blog saying "An anonymous source says the Blazers are interested in trading for Jefferson and Ridnour..."

Other than that, dead silence.

What does KP say? "If you hear a trade rumor about a trade deal, it's likely to be already dead."

THIS ISN'T TRUE.

Potential trades can die and revive in an instant. There's a reason rumored trades tend to happen more than ones that come out of left base. Marion for O'Neal was speculated long before the deal actually happened. The Chandler dump as well.

Why keep RLEC? I'm really not seeing the benefits at this point.
