Man those guys must be chomping at the bit to get into that place. All the tweets about missing the game and just wanting to get to play basketball.......What? Only Steve Blake is there? Huh?

Just got to the #Blazers practice facility. One NBA player is in the building working out: Steve Blake.

that's too funny, only an EX-blazer

Wesley Matthews will be there. From what I've heard he's the only Trail Blazer in town.
Channing Frye is here and is leaving for Phoenix tomorrow according to twitter.

Sounds like everybody is geeked up to get back to work.

From my understanding, they have to sign waiver forms or something, so it's understandable why there aren't that many players there.

Blakey had been a proponent of ending the lockout from long back, so he probably has no problems signing waivers before the CBA is officially ratified.

LOL maybe we will see Nate in his office overlooking nothing?

I think all the players know now that the deal is gonna get ratified and that training camp opens in a week and that there will be a short time to try to gel with a new point guard. Maybe it's tough making it here by today but for me when I see who shows up by tomorrow, i will know who loves playing basketball and wants the team to have a great season.

(Why isn't Steve Blake in LA already?)

Players cant work with coach's yet. Doesnt make too much sense to hurry to PDX until they can and until more players are there to scrimmage with. They can work out and shoot etc. anywhere.

They can work together as a team without a coach. And sure, if everyone waits until more will be there, they might as all wait until camp officially opens. But I would like to see a couple guys get on the phone and get everybody here ASAP.

Thanks for the link Beerboy. That was interesting. I hate to say this, but sometimes Casey is as hard to listen to as a washing machine full of kittens.

WTF is that traitor doing here? Once you are washed in purple and piss; you are never welcomed in this town again!

No one works on their game more than Blankey. It's why he is able to make millions of dollars playing basketball and he know's it. He's not taking anything for granted.

If you look at twitter, the reporters all over the country are saying that practically nobody is showing up. No Lakers at all showed up (except Blake, of course, in the wrong city). The only player of note that I can find a referent to is Derrick Rose, who didn't have a key. (Cue lots of hilarious "lockout" humor.)

He married a Portland girl. Blake spends the off-seasons in PDX and has used the practice facility often, even after we traded him - twice.

And he is the "traitor"?

Yeah, plus, he singled handedly sabotaged the Lakers this past season. He followed his orders. It's just that we didn't get past the Mavs.

Kristin isn't a local girl, they met at Maryland. She's an East Coaster. The whole family just really likes living in West Linn. Go ahead and call me an idiot, but I'd love to have him back as a reliable backup. Things worked a lot better then.

That's how my dawg rolls!!!!

Thanks for the clarification. I guess the important point is they established a home in Portland, and Blake - the Gym Rat - has used the PF since even when he was not signed to the Blazers.

They traded his ass to the Clippers ... THE CLIPPERS!! And you have the nerve to call him a traitor?!

#Blazers report that no players worked out at the practice facility today. One Blazer has finally arrived into town though: Luke Babbitt.

BlazerFreeman Joe Freeman
Apparently Babbitt went through some individual shooting last night at the #Blazers' PF.

why is it that the Blazers are only allowing white people to come shoot around?

^^^ HA HA!
Crapzano will be talking about Blazer racism on his radio show today! :)

What's it been now, three days since the practice facility has been open? A week since the agreement was announced? How long does it take people with very large incomes to get to Portland?
For me this is disappointing; does not seem that this team is hungry to play basketball, does not seem they feel any urgency about gelling and improving.
