This is Carter's first chance to prove that last year's ankle injury that was inhibiting him is now healthy. Dwyane Wade had an amazing Olympics, showing that he is back from the injury which cut his season short last year.

Beasley was one of the top offensive threats seen in college basketball. He can put the ball on the floor, post up, and shoot the outside jumper. He will likely come off the bench
for todays game, and will be guarded by the first forward off the bench, possibly the ever popular Yi Jianlian.
</td><td>Sean Williams.
Williams showed great promise in his rookie season, before hitting the rookie wall. Williams played smothering defense on Michael Beasley in the summer league game these two teams played last year, and everyone has had positive views on him in training camp. Which Williams will show up?

I'm READY!!!

Interesting starting lineup. I predicted Anderson at the 4 but thought Boone would get the nod at center. Glad to see that, at least for this first game, Sean is getting the start to acknowledge his offseason work and improvement, even though I think he's way undersized to be a starting 5 in this league.

Anyone doing play by play for those at work? :) Please! :D

Even though I might know the answer to this, Is this game on the radio?

great! first game thread of the season, great job with the tables! can't wait, a few more minutes...
I'm on lunch from work and will have to leave at 2:30, but I'll be taping the rest. can't wait to see who the starting lineup really is. Oh man, I'm so excited.

Tables don't even have stats yet :D

Bobby Simmons is clearly taller than Sean. haha, awesome.

Sean is playing good defense so far, and is making an effort boxing out.

These Refs are horrible.

Devin somehow seems to be even faster, but his passing has been spotty.
