WTF?!? He talks more about his campaign and press, then he does about Martin Luther King Jr. and African American History month, which is what he supposed to be talking about.

Very pathetic speech. You can tell he doesn't have a speech writer. Just off subject for most of it. Throws In the names of Lincoln (though he did abolish slavery so) and Jefferson (who had slaves) who are white.

Talks about how the press hates him. Then throws in some names of a few historical African Americans, of whom you can tell he knows nothing about. He barely was able to even say Frederick Douglass' s name, had to correct himself. Just horrible. Terrible.

He could go down on a black girl on stage and you'd say the same thing. I read it, he specifically mentioned fixing the inner cities and making it better. Rosa Parks, Frederick Douglass.....

Maybe he could have Obama write his speeches. I'd laugh after he read one and libs freaked out.

I think the Speech was designed with Mad Libs that had a bunch of blanks that said "Black Historical Figure"
I saw his speech during the campaign in Detroit? Did you?

It sucks that he wants to push stop and frisk, but he says he wants to fix the inner cities. I guess libs just think he means get rid of black people and that will fix it.

Hey. At least going down on a black woman on stage would be celebrating black history month.

I remember watching portions of it, but my comment was more about the substance of this "speech." Literally you could replace many of the people he mentioned with any other name and it wouldn't be unintelligible or necessarily inaccurate. The "speech" smacked of (a) here are some names of black people in history I have heard of and zero details about what they did, (b) here's my thoughts about the media, (c) here are some problems that I want to fix, and (d) here are some names of black people who I consider friendly to me. That's the cliff notes version.

umm, you kind a fucked up son. I watched the guy, had abut 20 black people there, nothing horrible to me and none of them either it seems.
But you could be right!

No way to fix this though, he never mentioned Jefferson nor Lincoln. Just you.

Look, as the president, he could have done far better than that. It was lazy, he was just winging it. There was no thought in it. Not very presidential at all. In fact when he does speeches, it sounds more like a middle school kid running for class president.

Yeah, I get it. He got nailed for not saying Jews in a holocaust deal so......

Does he know who Frederick Douglass is? Or is he mixing him up with Fredericks of Hollywood?

Frederick Douglass aka Freddy D is Chuck D's brother.

I can understand why Trump wouldn't know that.

It was not a speech about King.

It was a breakfast "listening" gathering he arranged to give representatives of people who self-identify as black to give him their views and make suggestions and requests as to how he can better serve their constituents.

He listens to Real Americans, hears them clearly, and that's why he was elected.

The political establishment only listens to their donors and the fawning MSM, and that's why they got trounced nationwide in 2014 and 2016. It's why they'll get trounced in 2018, and it's why Oregon's next governor will not be a Democrat.

I don't think that Lincoln's reputation as a great orator is going to be challenged by the current occupant of the White House.

The term "great orator" is an oxymoron.

The word's best orator was P.T. Barnum.

Oration is the art of speaking incessantly while revealing nothing, in order to divert or deceive.

Well, that's the only place libs learn anything about history so it's not surprising that's what they compare it to.

No millennial who didn't google Frederick Douglas today has a clue who he was.

Did he slip up and name Obama as one of those influential black people?
