Wisconsin native Steve Stricker, who still lives in Madison and grew up in Edgerton, is the hometown favorite for this week’s PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.
Seeing as he’s also the No. 4 rated golfer in the world, he’s among the betting favorites at the 92nd PGA Championship, as well.
Does that add to the pressure on Stricker, who could conceivably rise to world No. 1 by winning his first major championship here?
