This is being discussed on the NBA subreddit, but some people are claiming racism. Some of the fouls seemed like missed calls. I think we've all seen missed calls. The first foul by Kobe should have been a flagrant, but the rest of them looked like average fouls to me that happened during the course of the play. Seems like a whole bunch of drama about nothing. Do you agree?

That actually looks worse than it is.

He catches the ball, takes two steps, dribbles, and then takes three steps. Definitely a travel, but at first glance it looks like he takes five or six steps.

In any case, Lin has a fanatical base of fobby analytics driven asians who really never followed basketball long term. They are horrible if you've ever gone to a game where he plays.

It was hilarious how much they annoyed Rockets fans.

I'm sure you could make a compilation video of missed calls for just about any player that spends a lot of time in the paint. You can easily do it for Dame. Nature of the game.

You can pretty much tell from the bad grammar this was made by a bunch of Asians (duh). It's not racism and this video isn't going to do anything. Complete non-issue.

They learned basketball playing NBA 2K12

I found it interesting that the flagrant fouls that they used as examples were very hard fouls with lots of contact. The fouls on Lin were, for the most part, slaps or pokes that happened in the process of going for the ball. That foul by Aldridge in the playoffs was clearly him going for the block and hitting Lin on the followthrough. They're not going to call a flagrant on that.

"LOF"s as they called them. They also follow Lin where ever he goes. Lakersground was fun to read last year. The Hornets don't really have enough of an internet fanbase to annoy.

Lin's health and safety are at risk, as Lin gets hit unnecessarily and excessively in the face, head, and neck areas by other players frequently. The most alarming aspect of these incidents is that the referees didn't make the right calls to protect the player, Lin, from harm. Evidently, the lack of calls and reviews from the referees encourages other players to continue using hard foul tactics on Lin.

Are these people for real??!

That's the problem with the NBA right now. Just because you get hit in the head doesn't mean it's a flagrant foul. I need to look at the video again but at first glance I don't see one flagrant foul on it.

The Kobe foul seemed like it could have been. The others though.... not so much.

Yes I saw that, any post that isn't supporting Lin gets downvoted to shit.

I read but don't post on reddit because its a huge circle jerk. Have a different opinion? Sorry, downvoted to shit and no one will ever read it.

Yup..... it's a vast conspiracy to hurt Jeremy Lin!

Internet fanbases are weird as fuck, it's amplified by the fact they have their corner of the web to be an echo chamber like that thread that censors wrongthink. You see it all over the internet with the horrible blogs and message boards.

We're totally not like that though, we're too cool.

I disagree. From reception to layup, he takes a total of four steps. When he catches the ball, his left foot is down. He takes one step and releases the ball to begin his dribble with his right foot down and his left foot up. By the time he completes his one dribble and has two hands on the ball again, his left foot is down and his right foot is in the air. From that point, he takes two steps to complete the layup.

Upon close inspection, I don't think it's a travel at all.

It looked like he took three steps after he picked up the ball.... I shall now send this film off to have it analyzed by a team of experts to determine who is right.

I thought we were the team of experts.

I felt the one by Carmelo was a deliberate attempt to hurt Lin, and should have been a flagrant 2. Probably would only be able to see that on a review. They way the announcers were talking, a lot of these happened over a short period of time.
