Well I guess we know Przybilla won't be returning on Tuesday now.
 
Yeah this is great news. Now if we can just get 2 of 3 on this trip and Roy is ok... I will be happy

It only makes Oden look bad if you do not know what his problem is and make an assumption. This assumption might be right, it might be completely off. Assume away.
 
Let's just make sure Joel only takes baths and not showers from here on out.

Lol, Hey Max hope you and the family are well. How's the knee? Given our rebs tonight it will be nice to see Joel in there boxing out, I wonder if greg will ever be 100% as he wants.

Doing great, thanks for asking. I came in for the Lucas memorial, but had to split town before the Pistons game. The knee still sucks. I was scheduled for surgery, but we raised a new fund which has taken the past year of my life, so no surgery. Now I have to recondition myself all over again.

I still have hope for GO. He just needs 50 games with nothing happening to him and he'll be the player we expected. Joel is a real surprise. He looks like he lost some jumping ability, but I didn't think he'd be back at all this year.

So, why is it that you have to rip on Oden every chance you get? What does Pryz coming back early have to do with Oden at all?

In fact, do you even want Oden to come back at all? It sure seems like you'd prefer Oden remains hurt so you can continue on this neverending rant of him being a bust. Fuckin' unbelievable.

We should hear from HCP if Joel is really on this road trip to play Tuesday against the grizz. Otherwise I would rather have Joel start thursday with more stamina.
 
He is with us, and I think it will be Thursday back home. Just my opinion.
 
I think maybe Joel wants the home crowd to cheer him on coming back. That's not a bad agenda for his psyche. Maybe this will cause him to have a decent game.
 
If Joel comes back on Thursday, I hope the fans give him a LOOOONG standing ovation.

I didn't think he'd ever sniff the court as a Blazer again.
 
So, now it's back to the 26th?

probably the fact that oden went out first, with virtually the same injury. then Priz re injured it and STILL beat oden back.

I think that is where the smack talk comes in...got to say, looking at the two it is interesting.

Same injury? Oden broke his knee cap in half, whereas Joel ruptured the patella tendon. Those are very different injuries.

it was my understanding that a ruptured patella twice (the second coming on march 6th) is just as long recoop as a fracture of the patella that happened dec. 6th. You are correct, different injuries to the same area.

Following surgery of a fractured patella (displaced) , the knee usually will be immobilized in a brace. Weight bearing and walking are permitted as tolerated as soon as possible after surgery. Exercises to strengthen important muscles of the leg are begun immediately and range of motion exercises are begun at 4 to 6 weeks after surgery. A healed fracture and a strong quadriceps muscle permit a return to vigorous activity in 6 months.

on the other hand A patellar tendon rupture is; a full tear of the tendon that holds your knee cap in place. The patellar tendon's connects the two leg bones together. Its primary purpose is to hold your thigh bone (Femur,) to your shin bone (tibia.) Without the patellar tendon, activities such as kicking a ball, walking, or extending your leg would not be possible. Ruptures of the patellar tendon are a rare occurrence. You might remember the rumors swirling that he was done for good...because the recovery is so bad from such a "tear".

Post-operation is generally the most difficult part of the recovery (6-12months or more). You will not be able to start bending your knee(s) for a minimum of 5-6 weeks. You will be required to wear a knee immobilizer to keep your knees from bending. Generally the surgical incision will be closed with staples. After the first 10 days you're required to remove the staples, which of course only adds to the discomfort and recovery process.

My point is, on the books, Priz's injury is a much worse one to come back from ie. recovery and rehab time. Yet after rupturing it TWICE, he still beats Oden back.
