Apparently the current situation is that the Yankees will offer a QO to Robertson and are unsure wrt Kuroda.

Kuroda did a nice job for us but seriously we need to get younger. Besides IMO Aside from possibly picking up someone like Lester I really don't think we need Kuroda. If they resign McCarthy he goes along with Sabathia, Tanaka, Greene Pineda, Nova & Phelps. I think between those 7 & like I said possibly Lester I'm sure the Yankees can put together a nice starting 5. Like I said JMO.

And If Robertson turns down the $15.3M QO (which I'm hoping he does because no one else is going to give him that kind of money), then he's a moron.

Yeah, let Kuroda go, and I am hoping Robertson is offered that and turns it down and then takes less elsewhere.

There's rumors of Robertson possibly ending up with the Nats since they cut ties with Soriano.

Typical Yankee move, over paying. Unreal.

Yes and no Rick. Let this one play out. Yanks aren't tipping their hand, and this does unsure us an extra pick if he leaves....correct me if I'm wrong on that.

IF he leaves but unless someone offers him a multi year contract for a little less money there's no way he's turning down $15M. JMO.

I think there's a very good chance DRob will decline the Q. True, he won't get $15 Mil per year from another team but as far as total contract value, I think he can de better.
...Yes, Robertson's numbers were down this year but he'll still be targeted on the open FA market because he's still relatively young and still a pretty good pitcher who strikes out a lot of batters, which is a premium for late inning relief.

...I'm thinking he can expect a contract offer of at least 3-4 years @ $8-$10 Mil per year.

According to rumors they're 5-6 teams that already have interest, the cubs & Nats being two of them. I agree that he'll probably get 3-4 years from someone but I'm thinking probably closer to $10-$12 per. We'll see.
