Had a long response typed out and it disappeared... oh well...
Section 202, row 19... Cheap seats, but still seats...
My youngest LOVES soccer! My oldest isn't doing much better with baseball... He still sits down in the outfield, turns around, plays with dirt, etc. and I don't know what else to try to do...
Starting next week, my wife begins twice a week dr's visits for these last 5 weeks... keep in mind, the dr is an hour away... so she's 34 weeks now, delivering in 5 weeks at 39 so the tentative C-section date is either June 17th or June 18th... I help where I can, I'm just spent...
I know too well the experience of typing out a lengthy response, only to have my hand glance a key, and off it goes into cyber space...oh well....LOL.
Your going to have a blast, sounds like. Any seat to me, would be more than welcome a day out....
I'm not sure either what to say how to get your son's interests in a game. My oldest had the same problem when he played soccer. He seemed to grow out of it when he began T-Ball, yet at times still rarely paid attention to anything going on in the field...
His first year in T-Ball, I had instructed him to the basics of what to do when he got a hit, the very basic of instruction. His first hit, he ran to first base, safe, then turned full stride, ran into the dugout and took a seat. He even made it back off the bench, back to the 1st base bag, before the incoming throw made it. Amazing.
His 2nd ever hit, was to CF, instead of running to 1st base, he ran like a rabbit right over the Pitchers mound, past 2nd base, stepping on the base, like he was safe, then kept running til he got halfway to the CF fence. Something clicked, when he turned around, was tagged by the CF-er, as if he woke up from a dream.
that year, his 1st in T-Ball and Soccer, he did nothing but daydream. I was besides myself at times, always wondering what do I have to do, simply to get his attention on the game. I didn't care if he succeeded other than to have fun. He picked more dandelions that year, than he got kicks, or hits.
Tho' in time, once he made it to the Minors in LL, he blossomed, his attention came alive, how I don't have a clue, what clicked in his head.
It's good to hear you got a day out, and I hope it meets all your hopes and expectations. Heather is getting real close now. I know you both are anxious, even nervous, to get the baby safe and sound, in your arms at home. Bless you both. Your hearts are in a good place, and fate has dealt you both a tough hard hand.
In a short time, things have to get better. Hopefully a few months from now, you will both be recovered, and the smiles won't be able to be wiped from your faces....I can't say that enough, I apologize if I repeat myself. My heart can't let it go, not until I know your all safe and happy....Cheers, I hope you both find comfort and good health soon. Don't wear yourself out, I know that seems impossible.
2 Dr. Trips a week for the next 5, has got to be grueling. You will be made stronger for the wear in the long run. How do they say, trial by fire? After all you both have been through, in 5 weeks, the rest of the road and load, should seem like a relief, I hope. Have Fun at the game. Take good care of each other, I know you both will....
