Besides the Yankees what other team do you think could put together a nice "Old timers game" that you'd like to see. I think a few teams could pull it off like...............

Giants
Dodgers
Red Sox
Mets
Cardinals
Reds

IMO, you listed the Core Teams other than the Yanks, who could put on a good OT game.

The Cubs could probably put on a good Old Timers, tho' Banks is gone, Williams, Ferguson are way to decrepitly old.

I'd like to see an A's Old Timers, Blue, Fingers, Jackson, Bando, Rudi, Lacheman, Campy, but no Catfish...

I've yet to see what I'd call an Old Timers in Anaheim, if you consider Jim Edmunds to be old, or Tim Salmon, Erstad, no Joyner, Boone, Grich, now DeCinces was fun to watch in the hot corner, then and now...

Toronto had enough talent over the years, and a lot of non-career Jays, to put on a good one...I'd love to see J. Key on the mound again, Stieb too.

Twinkies could put on a great OT game IMO, and I'd like to see the Bucs, with Stargell, Parker, Tekulve, Goose, but who would Blyleven throw for, the Bucs or Twinkies, God raise Roberto one more time, please, with sugar on it....

I think the Braves could also put on a great OT game...

Bums put on a pretty good OT, and Koufax still has no problem with control, tho' his velocity is gone. Funny thing about Koufax, not but 25 years ago, we'd often hear out of ST, "Koufax threw batting practice in ST, and still has some heat for an old man"; when He was 55-60...at Vero Beach....

And many don't remember that Koufax retired due to health reasons after his last season but not before throwing 323 innings & going 27-9 (led the league in wins) with a league leading 1.73 ERA & a league leading 317 strike outs while winning the CYA & finishing 2nd in the MVP voting.

And in his last 2 seasons combined he went an amazing 53-17 with an even more amazing combined 1.88 ERA, 54 complete games, 700 strike out & winning back to back CYAs.

Bottom line = this guy was better when hurting than 98% of your healthy pitchers today.

Okay Tom how about an OT game for the Giants A's Dodgers, Cards etc.?

Problem with OT games is that they mean much less to teams and fans post free agency era. Unless you make a rule that you can only associate with your original club after retirement.

The Cubs could probably put on a good OldTimers, tho'Banks is gone,Williams,Ferguson areway todecrepitly old.

HOF Ron Santo is also gone.
