1) Trying to engage NOH, They talked at length with them

2) Gotta clear stuff with Paul, yet to Veto KP on anything (even the big deal)

3) Deal woulda been painful for fans (i.e. prob Batum)

4) Player confirmed to be on the olympic team multi allstar (i.e. Paul)

5) Targeting PG for sure, whether Paul or Not

6) Timberwolves highly interested in Rudy and Batum

7) Batum is absolutly the Hot commodity around the league

8) Thinks Wark is most likely to be GM if Kp was fired

9) If Kevin would have fired Warren Legarrie after Tom Penn Comments, KP would prob not be on the hot seat

10)

i Know kind of a rehash, could be merged

There's only 2 players that fit that description: Paul and Kidd. Deron is only a 1-time all star.

Nash? Multi-All-Star and Multiple Olympic appearances...for Canada.

Yes of course it's Paul.

Must...get...PAUL!!!!

I'm pretty sure Mel Gibson was willing to kill some mother fuckers to get Chris Paul in Portland. Where the fuck is that kind of dedication in Portland's war room?!??!

look at his facepaint.. obviously a Hornets fan :)

Please stop. Quick spews BS and guys go nuts.

Quick doesn't know shit and if he did he wouldn't be all over the place playing I know a secret.

Actually I went nuts well before Quick starting spewing BS.

A homeless man with an inhalant addiction could whisper "Paul to Portland man...I saw it clear as day when I huffed this paper bag of solvents!" I would be going nuts. Paul mmmm Paul.

I'm gonna go ahead and fantasize about this until reality pounds a cold hard oaken stake right through my heart when we don't do shit on draft day. Don't spoil my sports-porn fantasy SPD!

Everyone knows that if there was any chance for Portland to get CP3 we would have already had a rally.

Ok. Real question. Would you be fine with swapping Roy for Paul in that deal?

Papag . . . I mean bgrantfan . . . still want to insult me that I know absolutely nothing about agents. Not that I'm an expert on agent, but you go on some spewing rant about how I know nothing about what agents do and that KP's agent did nthing to harm the relationsship with the Blazers. I don't know how much damage the agent did if any, but I stick with my mild statement that whatever the agent did after the Pennn firing didn't help KP's situation.

Also funny you called me out for being overly sensitive when you are the one who couldn't handle your own drama on this board so decided to change your screen name and then try to deny at the begining that you are papag. What's up with that anyways?

I'd rather have a BRoy/Miller backcourt then a CP3/Miller backcourt.

Are you meaning this for someone other than OSU?

I'd rather have a CP3/Batum backcourt.

Remember, Nic is the starting SG for France and played that position a lot before coming to the NBA.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I never thought of that. Interesting!

Why would Chris Paul be vetoing Pritchard on anything, other than a trade for himself?

5) Targeting PG for sure, whether Paul or Not

Targeting a point guard whether Paul Allen likes it or not? That's bold.

Okay. As funny and clever as the joke is, I'm done with it!

Oh come on, as much as I love Batum he's not an NBA SG nor is he any where near BRoy status. Broy is untouchable.

Why? Swingmen are called swingmen for a reason...there's a ton of overlap between the 2 and 3 positions. And it's not like Batum is a "power" small forward, like a Gerald Wallace. I can't see any reason why Batum wouldn't work at shooting guard.

Broy is untouchable.

I don't agree...I'll trade Roy for a better player, like Chris Paul. The only player in the league I'd say is "untouchable" is a contractually locked up Lebron James.

This was meant for bgrantfan who told me I act like I have no clue what agents do or what they are about . . . or something like that. I'm not an agent and maybe don't know all about what agents do, but the post was a huge attack on me for saying whatever the agent did after Penn's firing , it didn't do KP any favors . . . something along those lines and I believe it was that mild of a statement.

Anyways I let it go at the time . . . but it didn't sit right with me so I thought I would bring it up again. Papag has pushed my buttons for a long time . . . usually it doesn't get to me, but every once in a while it bothers me . . . I'm seeing a therpist and working on though.

Had nothing to do with OSU. Only quoted him because it was showing that Quick thinks the agent cause some harm between the relationship of KP and ownership.

No players are untouchable. Very unlikely to be traded? Yep. Untouchable? No.

papaG's knowledge of agents/ the nba is far superior to anyone on this board

I have a hard time believing we talked at length with N.O. about Chris Paul. That would imply they were actually listening & possibly negotiating, which implies we actually had/have a shot. I hope it's true, it's just hard to believe. If it is true, I sure hope talks start up again. As I think CP3 is better than anyone we have on the roster...I would be willing to give up A LOT for him.

I think Collison's surprisingly excellent play puts them in a strange position. They have millions tied up in a superstar who's blocking their best young player (who is also extremely inexpensive), they aren't drawing well even with that superstar and they have a ton of dead weight on their roster. And it's not like they have a hugely successful team that they'd be breaking up.

While I'd still say the odds are against it, that could be the perfect storm that leads to one of the best players of his generation being dealt.

Amazing, a team in New Orleans drawing poorly? History repeats itself to those doomed to not learn from it.:devilwink:

Greg Oden, Joel Przybilla and Andre Miller for Chris Paul and Emeka Okafor.

If paul is really on the trading block (I don't think he is), could you imagine the offers around the league for him. Blazers have got to be a longshot, IMO.
