Not to steal Rob's thunder, I'm just going to post this one so he can continue on these.

This is basically in response to one of the answers to his earlier quiz. Zoilo Versalles winning the MVP in 65. So here it is,

Since 1950 team mates have finished 1st & 2nd in the MVP voting 18 times but only twice have team mates finished 1st, 2nd & 3rd. What years did it happen & if you're really good give me either the teams or the players names. NO PEEKING!

...I gotta guess that Mantle, Maris, and Berra did it somewhere along the line.

...and how about Aaron, Matthews, and Spahn?

No on both counts Ron. I will give a small clue though, both times it happened in the AL.

1st time: 1959 had Nellie Fox, Luis Aparicio, and Early Wynn of the Whitesox 1, 2, and 3 in MVP voting.

2nd time: 1966 O's, Frank Robinson #1, Brooks Robinson #2, Boog Powell #3......

that was a bit of a mental chore......Thanks Rick....

Can you name the players that have hit at least 35 home runs and had 120 or more RBIs in the same season since 2000?

This answer could take one all day.......a rather lengthy list, just say the word, and I'll send the answers.....

The list is WAY to long. There were two alone just this year with Donaldson & Arenado. No need for the list. Like I said way to many.

Yes, there are way to many, 87 to be exact, not counting this year......

13 Players did it in the year 2000......holy moses, days of Vitamin S, then some.......

Maybe you should have tightened it up a little bit Rob like 40 HRs & 130 or 140 RBI. I'm guessing that would cut the list at least in half.

Yeah, it would cut the list in half........

like putting a hard karate whack spin on a Slider.....
