Loved Norm's comedy...nobody like him...RIP....I binge watched alot of his work over the lockdown...heart goes out to his son who I believe is his only immediate family member with him ..another Canadian bites the dust....was watching John Candy movie a few days ago...Canada has sent us some great comics over the years....Norm loved baseball and gambling

That's why the article talks about how he dealt with a long and private battle with cancer. I'm guessing they were trying to convey that by "private", most folks were not aware, at least the general public.
 
Went down in a hurry after taking on KFC. But it makes sense now, cuz shortly after he was Colonel Sanders, he was gone from the position.

His Conan interviews always had me in stitches. God damnit man this sucks.

No one funnier.

Norm died of cancer, but, as Norm said of battling cancer, he didn’t lose his battle with cancer, it was a draw because when he died the cancer died too.

Absolutely brutal loss. Norm didn’t give two fucks about what he said, and said that an audience laughing meant more than them clapping because laughing is involuntary. People laughing was great, but people not laughing is funny too because it’s unexpected.

At an open mic night a bazillion years ago I got a note after my set that said “I liked that Baywatch joke” signed by Norm Macdonald. I never saw him or spoke to him, but apparently he saw that and made me so happy to think Norm thought I was funny.

He’s the guy EVERY comedian……the real ones, pretend one’s like me, think is the funniest
