I could relate. I had a crush on Sally Star. She was big time in 1960's Philly television. There was a cute blond with puppets who I really liked. The puppets were her personal fetish

When Melody auditioned for F-Troop she lied about her age but she screen tested so well for the part that she was given the roll. When the show first aired in 1965 her love interest in the show was Captain Wilton Parmenter (Ken Berry) who was 32. Wrangler Jane (Melody Paterson) was only 16.
