Just did a track check, about 70 miles from North Florida Coast going 23 MPH with 50 MPH Winds. Might be coincidence but Turner Classic Movies is airing Key Largo at this time.

Used to cross the 405/5 Interchange North at the same early 4am time, the CHP Motorcycle Cop went off that cut in half Fwy-bridge (200+ feet up above the canyon ground); in 94, had commuted the very same route and time, just one year prior, and would of been directly in the same vicinity give or take a mile or 2, (which was all rubble also)...
*** all the big quakes, I've been lucky to of been awoken in the bed, (Landers, Big BearX2, Northridge, Fillmore, Garlock). The Sylmar Quake of 71 on the road driving to work and never felt a thing, tho' the house was cracked, windows all broken, et al.
Whittier quake a rocker from hell, was in a 4th story Plant, the cement floor looked like a rolling wave, yelled "under your desks" and 100 peeps stood, froze and stared at each other, dumb fkng sheep. A hard after shock latter that day was on the bottom floor, watching the walls buckle, thinking we were going to be 1 foot tall, before the shaking quit. The longer the more damage(s) of course, so every second is counted by all...
