Big Mac out again while girardi still in with the hole in his knee and useless. FU AV. Gorton needs to call out this coaching staff.

This will be an interesting test IMO. The D has played well the past two games. Will be interesting to see how they play against a high powered O like the Stars.

The Devs and Isles beat the Stars...can we?

All visiting teams "get up" to play in the Garden- much more than the dump in NJ or whatever Brooklyn is. Dallas will be ready to lay down an ass kicking ...let's see if this team shows up. If the Rangers get smacked tonight a big move should not be far off...just cant let this team stay as is with Lundqvist in the late stages of his prime. If another cast off like Etem or Stalberg goes, then you know management is trapped and will not improve this team... and it's all the same ol BS with the Dolans collecting outrageous $ to see an average team. I'd expect the absolute biggest disappointment Kreider and maybe a surprise name (Stepan, or even McD) to be gone very soon in a big trade.

I watched both those games and came away thinking the Rangers will
be severely tested. Rangers lack O & Lundqvist will be under the gun.
'Interesting' is very optimistic!

Yep. The overrated piece of shit will probably be traded tmo

Maybe, but tonight he is out due to the cut on his hand...not a healthy scratch.

This 8 million dollar goaltender better get his shit together or his contract will be as worst as the other two tools on D.

Good 1st period. Only 6 Dallas shots. Soft goal by Hank, but made up for it on the Stars only real big chance of the period...the 2 on 1 shot by Sharp.

Good to see. Let's hope they can keep it up.

I like watching the away feeds because i get to see what forgotten former player other teams/stations hire to do their games/analysis. Tonight's analyst during intermission are Brent Severyn and Craig Ludwig.

Another solid period. Only 8 shots for the Stars in the 2nd. Rangers up 3-1.

Let's do it for one more period.

LOL...Ulf is earning his paycheck tonight. Saved that tool Staal poke checking and reaching with his stick all game.

Oh wait...they kept Megna in the minors so they can have Tanner fucking Glass in the lineup.

Solid win over a tough team. We can only hope this gets them going.

For my money the Rangers have played 3 straight solid games. Hopefully this will start a roll. Saturday will be a good litmus test.

The schedule with Dallas (tonight) and Washington (Sat)......the two
top teams in the NHL. Many predict these two will be in the
Stanley Cup Finals. Rangers want to destroy that prediction.

They are half way to turning their game around. Solid win tonight, 6-2.

Solid effort all the way around. Nash was a beast all night. Miller is playing with a lot of confidence and is looking better and better - he is certainly making the most of the top 6 mins he's getting.

I liked the way this Megna kid looked and hope they keep him up here a few more games to get a better look at him

AV said today he will play Saturday even if Kreider is back. I agree mel he looked good. That was our best line last night.

Is it surprising that the team looks better when slugs are out of the lineup?

The real test will be whether they put everything into last night and now go and score 5 goals in the next 4 games or actually start showing consistency.

I agree 71... can this team provide a balanced attack like last night consistently. As the schedule gets tough, if the top 6 are not producing consistently this team will struggle to make the playoffs. A lot was exposed during this last tough stretch. In the 15 game rough stretch from about Thanksgiving eve to right before xmas, they scored 2 or less goals in regulation 8 of those games. The Brass/Nash/Zuc line started to struggle but Brass had 14 pts, Zuc and Nash 10 pts apiece. Chris Kreider had 6 pts in those 15 gms, Lindberg 3 pts, and Stepan 0 in 5 of those he played.
This scenario is all too familiar as they struggled in last years playoffs with almost same roster. In 19 playoff games last year, the Rangers scored 1 or fewer goals in regulation 9 of those 19 games !!! Same team, little change...no depth will end in similar results...maybe sooner this year !

It's one game but they sure didn't miss Kreider. Like I said. Trade him in seconds to get a chance at Drouin.

The forwards did a nice job playing both ways instead of waiting in the neutral zone for an outlet pass. Amazing how you can stop an offensive rush just by holding your ground at the blue line like Brassard did on the Megna goal. He didn't even have to make contact to stop the play. I hardly think that a team that's gone deep in the playoffs for years is suddenly done but I do think they need to make a few changes to get the Cup. To me the two obvious moves are Yandle and Nash. Yandle can't be kept and the Rangers have to recoup something more than 2 years of his service, had they let Staal walk Keith's acquisition and resigning would have been a good deal. Nash is playing good hockey now so moving him now when his value is high makes sense, Rick is one of the primary reasons the playoff stats JD listed are so anemic. I think Etem is odd man out with Megna up, he is actually more useless than Tanner Glass. His lazy play against Florida should earn him a few healthy scratches.

Darren Dreger says that teams in the East would need to pay a lot for Drouin and that the best offers for him could come as early as next week.
