14. Nate McMillan, Portland Trail Blazers

McMillan is much respected amongst his peers and also serves as an assistant coach for Team USA. Last season may have been his most impressive as the Trail Blazers suffered through a plethora of injuries to their major cogs, yet McMillan still led the club to 50 wins.

On the surface, the ranking seems a little low, but after looking at the names on the list, it's hard to argue for Nate in favor of some of the guys ahead of him. I'd put Flip Saunders below him, though.

Byron Scott? Meh.

I'd like to hear MMs take on this - an actually ranking. Then we could have a real debate about Nate!

#19 Doug Collins will improve the 76ers his first year, but then his insane screaming will make the players hate him. The guy's face will be screwed into psycho mode on TV more often than you see a Geico ad.

#18 Alvin Gentry will be #8 until Steve Nash retires. Then he'll be #28.

#16 Erik Spoelstra will obviously be in the Top 3 at this time next season.

#9 Avery Johnson "has a sparkling 74 percent win percentage in his head coaching career, which spans a little over three seasons." Let's see, 74% x 3 seasons + 0 wins this season divided by 4 seasons = .555 after this season.
