Ray Allen picks Heat over Blazers

When the big three pulled this crap in Miami creating a super team I knew this shit would happen next! The flood gates to only a handful of super teams is now greenlighted... This is now just getting ridiculous!

Where is the NBA's sense of any kind of FAIR PLAY!!

How many freakin Allstars do you need on one damn team?

As Larry Bird said.... "it bothers me to see players taking pay cuts simply to win rings, but there are alot of players that like riding the coattails of champions"

Some people will say "WOW Miami should be a fun team to watch"..... I say to them, didn't ya get enough Globetrotters in your childhood?

It's sad to say but the rest of the NBA for the conceivable future will be the sacrificial Generals...

Truth!

Repped.

I don't think Boston wanted him back, they had already benched him for Avery Bradley (Rondo lobbied for this, that's where he and Ray started getting issues) and then they went and signed Jason Terry right while he was deciding. I think they made him an offer to save face with fans, but I don't think they wanted or expected him back.

Larry Bird is made at players choosing to make less money to play where they want to play with who they want to play with? Fuck Larry Bird.

They're really not the first to do it though. Remember when Payton and Malone left for the Lakers? Payton was coming off an All-Star season and Malone was coming off a 21/8/5 year. They had way more left in the tank than Ray Allen.

Then there was the team that Ray Allen was just a part of. Sam Cassell, Rasheed Wallace, Jermaine O'Neal, and Shaquille O'Neal all tried to latch on to the Celtics for a title, and while they didn't have much in their tanks at that point in their careers, neither does Ray.

"no sir, I didn't see you playing with your dolls again."

"Good!"

And then Gary Payton went to the Heat and won a title, with a lot less left than Ray Allen and hit a game winning shot in the Finals.

Ray Allen's playing style is perfect for an old-timer at least. Reggie Miller played fine late into his career. And Larry Bird is a d-bag, players want to make less money and he whines about that.
