I've been working til 10pm every night getting you snot nosed brats your little xmas gifts. Crazy stuff. 29 millions pieces processed last Tuesday was a UPS record.

Tomorrows going to be another shit show.

'Tis the season

I think I ordered something for 99 cents and had free two day delivery. just to see if they'll ship it. hah. they have "add on products" now though. Honestly, I like the experience of shopping in store for christmas. I do tend to go to stores with hot sales girls and bitches in yoga pants walking around though.

I see we share something in common...

Funny thread. I think we need a sticky. "MickZagger's official UPS adventures" or something. You can post some of the craziness you deal with on a regular basis.

If UPS wants to pay me a couple of grand to sticky the thread I will do it. If not, fuck'em!

Just don't go all ace ventura on the packages or some asswipe with his iphone is going to throw you up on youtube and get ya fired. :)

I've been avoiding supporting Amazon after reading about what their warehouse employees go through.

Who gives a shit, I know...

I don't avoid Amazon, but I do try and buy at Costco as much as possible to support their ethical business practices. I don't have the willingness to actually learn about how every place treats their employees, but when I do happen to find a place I respect I try and spend my dollars there.

We should all order HUGE, HEAVY gifts and have them delivered over there in Felony Flats where he works!

I wonder if he only delivers to big 6'9" overhyped white people?

Great Idea! I'll ship some dumbell sets to some random spots.

For their first dozen years or so COSTCO had no store employees shorter than 6 feet in height. Nationwide. The average height was probably about 6' 3". And at least 80% were male.

Made sense from a variety of points considering it's a warehouse with tall stacks obscurring vision, but pretty clearly involved discriminatory hiring practices.

Good idea.

Or we could just have them deliver to your house in the ghetto. Same purpose, same effect.

Costco rules. My experience this past week just reinforces it.

http://www.examiner.com/article/after-christmas-sales-start-earlier-with-huge-discounts

After Christmas sales at retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Macy’s, Walmart, and Sears are starting earlier than expected, according to a Dec. 24 CNBC report.

With the shopping season moving slower than expected and inventory stacking up, consumers should expect bigger after-Christmas sales before Dec. 26.

“Promotions have already crept into the irrational zone — north of 50% off,” says Brian Sozzi, CEO of Belus Capital Advisors. “The season so far was a full-on Debbie Downer. After Christmas a black plague of promotions will sweep throughout the malls and stores — 50, 60, 70% off.”

I missed a gift due to shipping not staying on task. Thanks FEDEX!

BTW, very cool of UPS not to make their employees work Christmas day. The day is not about gifts; it's about spending time with your family, friends and loved ones.

The delivery companies are taking a lot of unnecessary grief in my opinion.

They are a delivery company not a fucking elementary school. Its their business to deliver packages with timed delivery and accuracy, hence the premium price you pay over USPS.
