Smith Steals The Show In Egypt

Jordan Smith set the pace on day one of the Red Sea Egyptian Challenge Presented by Hassan Allam Properties with an opening round of 63 at Sokhna Golf Club on the European Challenge Tour.

The Englishman was too hot to handle in the Egyptian sun, picking up nine birdies and one eagle in a blistering first round which saw him end the day on nine under par – just one shot shy of the course record.

Jordan Smith wins the Red Sea Egyptian Challenge

JORDAN Smith is celebrating his maiden Challenge Tour victory after holding off all combers at the Red Sea Egyptian Challenge today.

The 23-year-old, from Derry Hill, continued his impressive form at Sokhna Golf Club to shoot a three-under-par 69 to reach 18 under par overall, holding off a host of challengers as he took his tally of birdies for the week to 23.
