The Yankees have scored 92 runs in the first inning this season, most of any team in baseball.

...just heard that...makes things a lot easier when a team grabs an early lead.

and the yankees may have the worst runs scored record in subsequent innings...lol!

It would be nice if they don't let this kid get too comfortable.

They are over swinging against Owens so far.

To this point our old buddy Phil Hughes is again shafting the Yankees with home runs to Donaldson & Tulo.

That Donaldson trade was a real gem by Beane. As for the Twins they're fading.

...damn...Beltran scares the hell out of me in the OF sometimes.

...Donaldson is arby eligible next year and Beane realized the A's could not afford to pay him what he'll be rewarded next year...the Jays can.

Well there's that also. Which is why that A's organization is complete bullshit. I don't know now you can be a fan of that mess. A player becomes decent and you know he's going to be shipped off.

...meh, they've been hamstrung by payroll limits for years.

...but yeah, the A's have been a ML "farm system" for years now.

...I've asked before; "Who would have done a better job, Cashman with the A's payroll, or Beane with the Yanx' payroll"? I think it's a valid question and I think the answer is easy.

I think the A's situation makes you do things you wouldn't have to do elsewhere. Quite frankly it's ridiculous for a major league baseball team. From the sewage leaks in the clubhouse to what the movie Moneyball depicted. Where they couldn't even fill the drink machines or barely have cereal to eat in the clubhouse.

I don't know why the 1-0 score surprises me. They usually never have a clue against pitchers they have never seen.

...Yanx can ill-afford to lose this game...among other things, it will also put even more pressure on Severino tomorrow.

1-1 now and still needing to get out of a tough inning.

2-1 after a sac fly. And as much as I like Paul O'neill he needs to shut up for a second and let the game breath occasionally.

Tex is just ridiculous this year. RBI #76.

...Ryan has to have the goofiest looking mustache I ever seen.

88 pitches and out, and 1 wonders why all starters only avg 6 per

...lol...someone's either not paying attention or is not even watching the game.

Poor display of baseball by a first place team taking against a last place tem.

My only complaint is that at some point you have to let your seventh inning guy take care of business.
