Seems like the All Star break is a good time to revisit this topic. The Blazers presently have a record of 36-17, with 29 games yet to play. That's the same record they had last year at this point and they ended up winning 54 games. The Blazers have 13 home games and 16 on the road remaining. 17 of the remaining games are against teams with a present record of .500 or better. 9 of those games are at home and 8 are on the road. They have one 5 game road trip left and the rest are just 1 and 2 game trips. By my count, there are 5 back-to-back games remaining.

So, what's your prediction for the final regular season record. I'm going with 55 games.

I am going 52-30, because we haven't shown much against .500 or better teams. And because I am not sure when Dame will get out of his shooting funk.

Hmm...I believe I went with 54 wins at the start of the season. If I'm being optimistic that our troubles are behind us, I could see 58 wins. The most pessimistic prediction I can muster is still 52 wins. But screw that.

Based on the real uncertainty of whether some of our guys (coughdamecough) can pull it together, I'll split the difference: 56 wins.

For some reason that feels kind of pessimistic too.

Currently, we're 36-17, or 67.9%
If we go .500 the rest of the way, it's 50.5 wins
If we continue at our current rate, it's 55.7 wins
Last year, we had the same record as our current, and we ended with 54 wins.
To get to 60 wins, we need to go 24-5

This year, our ending schedule is (probably) harder it was last year.
However, we have an impressive record with RoLo in the lineup, and I'm expecting a healthy RoLo for the rest of the year.

My Brave Prediction: 55 wins (I try to be conservative to belie my homeristic nature)

Bonus Prediction - OKC
Last year OKC won an impressive 72.0% of their games.
If they do that for the rest of the way, they end up with 48.9 wins.
So, if OKC "finds themselves" and we flounder only winning half of our remaining games, we still win the division.

My not so Bold Prediction: Blazers win the division.
