House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy in 2016: 'There’s two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump'

In a private meeting with Republican colleagues last year, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy commented that then-presidential candidate Donald Trump and California congressional colleague Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Huntington Beach) were being paid by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“There’s two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump,” McCarthy said in the recording of a June 15 exchange obtained and published by the Washington Post. At that point, House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) cut off the conversation and swore those present to secrecy.

So pretty much an out-of-the-loop hanger-on with no real responsibilities.

So Gates lied to Mueller during his Queen for the Day?!? Holy fucking shit what an idiot.

Queen for a Day is where you go and spill your guts before a plea deal is offered so you can get the best deal possible. Nothing you confess to unless it's something terrible like murder is used against you. You're showing to the prosecution that you know shit that could be helpful to their case. But the thing you don't do during this is lie.

Also you don't fire your attorney right before Queen for a Day. That is a clear sign that you're going to lie. If you have told your attorney something illegal that you have done, while he can not rat you out for it, he can not let you knowingly lie about it under oath. Firing your attorney the same day you're going to testify announces to everyone that you're going to lie about something.

Hilarious.

Also, makes any testimony from him in the future utterly worthless and inadmissible without credible corroboration.

What do you call a Special Prosecutor dropping 22 counts in exchange for "testimony" against another target?

Suborning perjury.

Here is what I don't get. Reading over the indictment, it is alleged that Manafort was in dire need of funds and allegedly committed felony fraud to try and secure loans. I get it, not that I think it's OK but that it makes some degree of sense. But why would Gates commit felony fraud as he alleged to have done to get money for Manafort? Was he expecting a payout? Blackmail? I mean, it takes a hell of a motivation to commit a felony for another's behalf. Why?

Riddle me this.

When is a felony not a felony?

So pretty much a money laundering guy working a scam with 10Cypress banks, eastern European mob clients with ties to the Kremlin and Ukraine, falsified loan applications and a failed money trail that doubled as a tax evasion scam.. or so with no real responsibilities.
fixed that shit right up....

Riddle me this.

When is a felony not a felony?

When it is misused as coercion to commit perjury.

When it's entrapment.

When it won't stand on the EVIDENCE presented.

There are others.
