I grew up in Iowa with guys just like him....he plays a hilarious dickhead....not an easy thing to pull off I'd guess......I read he bought an old Safeway in N Carolina and converted it into a movie studio ...lives on an island off the coast there...in an interview he said the minute he doesn't have to work in LA he's on the flight home where the locals have known him all his life...his comfort zone
