According to Buker's tweet, Riley was asked to name the best RB in the Pac. He named Sofele.

In 9 games, LMJ has 1285 yards, 142 ypg, 13 TDs and avg 7.4 ypc
In 11 games, Sofele has 1121 yards, 101 ypg, 8 TDs and avg 5.3 ypc

One is a Doak Walker finalist. One also has scored on returns.

"Pnbuker Paul Buker
RT @ESPN_Pac12blog OSU Riley named Cal's Isi Sofele when asked to name best RB in Pac-12. Plays LaMike Sat"

Sure, but what kind of numbers would Sofele put up in our system? He's listed an inch shorter and 5lbs heavier than LMJ, and runs sub-4.4. Could be that he'd be over 1500 if he were up here. LMJ's just a system running back. :devilwink:

I like the way you think, kid. Keep it up! You'll go far! :)

Just a few points.

21 James, LaMichael RB 5-9 195
20 Sofele, Isi RB 5-7 186

Riley. How can you not love Riley. He's not bright enough to trash talk or play mental games, so you have to assume what you see is what you get. If best means, to produce the greatest result - then logically, you name the most productive - unrelated to systems. Really, I'm surprised that Riley didn't answer Jahvid when asked who the best RB in the Pac is.

Kid? Hmm--anyway...

ESPN has James at 185 and Sofele at 190 (and 5'8"). Regardless--I'd like to see what LMJ could do on that crappy Bears team.

Silly thing is that Riley ignored the oft-forgotten John White IV, despite the fact that he dominated the Beavs to the tune of 205 yards just a few weeks ago.

I took the stats from goducks.com - The Official Oregon Athletic Site.

Riley ignores a lot of things, lol. Thanks, Sonny. :)
