Dogs are awesome (except @SlyPokerDog). Had to give mine away. Two years later they saw me and was as excited and happy as when they were with me.

if we can figure my father situation out, my wife and i have discussed possibly using our land and building/ opening a kennel complete with obstacle course, large open runs, bathing options, day services, etc.

We were in the middle of looking up an innitial budget cost to construct the kennels and what not. as well as looking into the barking aspect on neighbors and how that would go over/need to be addressed.

ive had cats most my life only because they adapt to indoor apartment living.
Ive not had a dog out of respect to what a dog needs that i couldnt previously provide.
