I don't know how many of you watch it/listen to it. I occasionally do, but not often. Last night however, Danny Marang heavily implied that the team is going to (not thinking about, going to) retire LaMarcus' #.

Not sure how I feel about that.

I know precisely how I feel about that. We one exactly one series with him, and he left in FA (not even a sign and trade), partially because he couldn't handle being usurped by a superior player. Doesn't belong on the level of Walton/Drexler/Porter.

I'm fine with it. He was my favorite player during that time and he certainly was a better player than half the numbers we already have retired. Definitely a top 10 Blazer of all time.

Agree that he should have it retired and if you listen to his story about how he wanted and tried to come back and Olshey wouldn't allow it, I think it's a bit heartbreaking. He was a good dude and a great player in his time. A shame his flame burned out a little early, but he was a big guy.

Isn't it too late to do that? I would 2nd that notion for sure though. I watched him play when I was a kid.

No reason to retire the number of good but not great Blazers.

I may be snarky but Walton is the only number I would have retired. He was the reason we have a championship. We have had some other very good/great players but I see no reason to retire numbers "just because". LaMarcus may have been good for the time but I'd take Buck Williams, Sidney Wicks or Maurice Lucas over him (and I'm probably not thinking of others off-the-top-of-my-head).

The only 4 i'd consider taking over Aldridge is sheed.

Aldridge was a top 15 player in the league at one time.

The whole, “Well we didn’t win THIS or they didn’t win THAT” means shit to me. We didn’t NOT win more playoff series BECAUSE of him. God damn look at how many playoff series Adam Morrison won? ALOT mire than LA I’m thinking. NO WAY to judge a player’s career.

You should lead the call to retire Adam Morrison's number. It will prove your Laker fanboyness.

It would be like blaming KD for the Rockets last 2 losses.

I think that retiring a middling all star like LaMarcus's number and hanging his jersey in the rafters is pathetic on the part of the team. I have nothing against LaMarcus so I could be happy for him but as a lifelong Blazers fan I'd be embarrassed. As was pointed out above we didn't win shit with him and it's not like he won an MVP or something while here.

I hope it's bad information. Again nothing against him, I just don't want us looking like a poverty franchise.
