Coincidentally I have been listening to Dr. John on Amazon Music lately so this news came as a surprise. Unique and talented man.

I absolutely loved Dr. John's music....Such a Night....Right Place Wrong Time...my first road trip was my jr year of high school to Mardi Gras...I was a trumpet player in the high school jazz band at the time and wanted to visit the birthplace of jazz....it was awesome...been a Dr. John, Meters and Neville Bros fan all my adult life....great stuff,,,Dirty Dozen Brass Band...my hero back then was Louis Armstrong
