Honestly in 89/90 was when I truly became a Blazers fan so this was the first HC I knew of and I met him as a child at a basketball camp if I recall too.

The first Blazers game I ever saw was Valentine’s Day 1990. I was 12; I imprinted on the team like a duckling. Cliff Robinson was my favorite player back then, because he was a rookie. In my imagination he was as good as Wemby. That team was very special to me. It makes me sad that it’ll never feel quite like that again.

Don't forget ... Rick was also on the original team in 1970 ... playing with the Blazers for a few years, on top of being a great coach! Like many of you that 89-90 team was the one that truly made me a fan at the age of 9. I still remember seeing the news that Mike Schular was out as coach and my little brain couldn't understand why they would make that move to Adelman, obviously it was a smart decision.
