I was around, and it still stands today as one of the dark seeded mysteries of our lifetime. Good men die every day. It is always a loss. To all good men, RIP, god bless...

...I remember it vividly because I was at home and sick and it was the first day of school I had ever missed...I remember Mom crying and she told me what had happened and we watched the news for the rest of the day. JFK was dead and this country really has not been the same since.

"I shouted out,
"Who killed the Kennedys?"
When after all
It was you and me"

We were glued to the tv with the legendary Walter Cronkite's voice delivering the news. Camelot had ended.

I remember Cronkite breaking down on TV...he said years later that he almost quit that day.

I was attending advanced training at Fort Devens Massachusetts in RC Class and heard the news as it come on through an R-390 Receiver. Totally stunned by the news, the following Saturday we were in a parade/pass in review in honor of JFK.
