Roasted Hatch chiles

This is the first year I've bought a box of freshly roasted hatch chilis/chiles (whatever).

Damn things smelled amazing while roasting and I did a quick stop at best buy on the way home. Opened the trunk where they were and it smelled so good I almost asked a lady walking by to smell my trunk.

Anyone ever used these and have any good ideas for them? My wife put some in a crockpot chicken chili she usually makes with jalapeños.

Never came across these living in the NW, Vegas is close enough that w3 get them shipped here.

Poor supermarket guy was dying in the heat and either had something in his eye or was irritated by smoke. I see a workman's comp claim coming.

The super expensive yuppie store here (i.e. Pricier than Whole Foods) roasts these I think. They do all kinds of shit like make chili, cornbread, salsas and guac with them, pretty good. I like the Cornbread the best I think....the Hatch Chili cream cheese spread is pretty dope too.

Fuck these motherfuckers are dangerous. Killed a whole brioche loaf of bread last night after I bought some hatch chile cream cheese. Thinking of making a hatch chile new mexican lasagne. sounds so bomb

I just found out that RALPHS (aka Fred Meyer/Kroeger) also roasts them here.

We just add cream cheese and crackers. You mix em in real well and viola! Mouth organisms
