The last two games, he's been a very solid and legitimate NBA center. I noticed LMA looking thrilled with Lopez in the 4th quarter, and his play.

Yeah you can really tell he is understanding what he needs to do to help this team win. Aldridge is starting to rebound better because Lopez is boxing out to give him better opportunities. It's sooooo nice when we actually have a legit center!

Freeland really helps. Getting the big man that extra rest so he could go ham on the tired Pistons frontcourt was very helpful.

I definitely agree that he's found his groove. He seems like a perfect teammate; I love how happy he gets when Freeland does good.

Lopez's mom was at the game tonight.

Robin's mom is straight and white. This person is neither. But she is funny as hell.

Well they do have the same hair.

I am not trying to start another debate about who is better between Robin and Hickson, because they are two entirely different types of players, but I think we can all put to rest that we were better off with JJ as our center.

Wanna reword that again?

The fact that he did this against Drummond is very impressive.

We got this guy for free ya'll!

LMA looked especially happy with Lopez after that pass from Lopez when it looked like Lopez was going for a dunk.

That was the best part of all. I didn't know Lopez had this in him, but then again, it takes centers (generally) a long time to find themselves in the NBA>

On topic, I completely agree that Lopez looks the best he has as a Blazer. Batum has a pick and roll friend, and LaMarcus also looks really happy to see him on the court. Just nice to have some beef in the middle that knows what he's doing.

It was at me, for giving birth to a thread within a thread.

Back on topic: I wish "box-outs" were a stat, because Lopez would be seen as more valuable for it. And I totally agree that Freeland is really essential to Lopez's effectiveness.

That would be interesting... how would you track that?

Yeah I was pumped about the hook shots. Even as flat as they are. But because of his quick release and that he can do it with either hand, makes it effective.

Overall I am loving the interior passing by the bigs. Mo on the other hand needs to NOT force the ball inside and just make the easy ones to the corners. His 5 TO's was his only negative tonight.

You agree that BC's post should be deleted, right? If that post is deleted, we have to delete the ones that reference it, and then try to get the thread back on track.

I deleted my baby's baby picture and your response to it. Nothing wrong with your response, it just didn't make sense after I deleted the picture.
