Who else is excited about this movie? I know a lot of people are critical about it since he's 60, but regardless. It's Rocky man. I don't expect Stalone to disappoint.
 
Well since I watched the other 5, I'm probably going to watch the 6th... can't wait though to see how the Italian Stallion fares.
 
Someone should move this to the movie forum. Can't wait for Rocky Balboa though. Caught some of the marathon on SpikeTv today. Funny moment is when Ivan Drago is standing in the ring waiting for his match against Apollo. And it start's elevating to the stage. His reaction is priceless.
 
I posted this about 5 months ago lol... But I have a feeling he dies in the ring

And that would suck if he does die. I hope Stallone doesn't take that way out, what a horrible way to end the series.
 
The 5th one sucked so I dont see why this one would be any better. Im not too excited about this one to be honest...
 
well I've never really seen the other ones, part or 2 here and there but never seen a full movieand once I saw that tarver is in the movie it made me hate the movie even though I haven't seen it, tarver is a bi*ch and I he'll probably ruin the whole movie

They are so good even though they may sound corny. Can't wait for Rocky 6, but I am scepticle about wehther this will be good or not. Trailer looks good though.
 
I think he will die...Or end up in hostpital with a slipped disk and a broken hip.

I doubt he is going to die, there is no way Stalone is going to end the series like that. He will probley lose the fight in the 15 round on a judge and everyone will say Rocky won or something like that.
 
no, rocky is gonna knock tarver out but in doing so accidentally gives him brain damage in real life and then we never have to see that cocky sorry sob again lolbut on the real, every knows rocky is gonna win with a knock out in the last round
 
You must hate that Tarver koopa. Sounds like he will fit the role of being Rocky's opponent.
 
I can't stand the s.o.b., he's always wearing sun glasses and always acting like he's worth a damn, wow, he beat a washed up roy jones jr twice, and the second one he beat roy, roy was just messing around and acting silly and tarver still barely beat him and yet he acts like he's the greatest ever........damn I hate the dude lol
 
Cant wait tell Rocky 6. Fan of the series. I'll probably go see it with in the same week it comes out. Im worried about Traver's acting
 
I saw the trailer today at the theatre...it actually looks good. :happy0144:
 
We all know he is going to win, but somehow I think the ending is going to be sad.

I just went today to go see the movie. I wont give it away but it is a very good movie. I really liked it, not disappointed at all. I recommended that you guys go see it if you loved the first 5 like me.
 
Me and my friends are all Rocky fans, so we're all gonna see it together.I saw the trailer, looks pretty good.And is it true Sylvester Stallone is 60 years old?!? My friend told me this today.
 
^^^Yeah I think so. But the movie is great even though he is old. The fighting really dosnt make the movie. Its wat happens. Sort of like Rocky 1.
 
Stallone acted, directed, wrote, and produced this movie...crazy.Anyways, I've never seen a Rocky movie, but I'm going with my friends to see this one on Friday.

Saw the movie last night. Good movie if you're a fan of the series. I recommend it. Like what JKidd said, the fighting honestly did not make the movie, it was the events that happened throughout. I'm not going to spoil it though.
 
Extra Awesome movie, nice plot and storyline. The fight sequence was great with how they used the HBO layout for it. I recommend it to everybody

Damn, I saw this last week. Personally I thought it was pretty lousy. They really didn't spend a lot of time on character development, his opponent was kind of a nice guy (and kind of flabby), and a lot of things just didn't make sense. Like the whole deal with the white lady with the black son. It seemed like something was gonna happen there and nothing did. The training scene is usually the best part of the movie, but this one didn't seem all that great. And they didn't have as much buildup to the fight as they have in the other movies. Plus the ending with all the people climbing the steps was stupid. I was disappointed with this movie.
 
I saw it a week or so ago...kinda disappointing. Better than Rocky 5 but not better than any of the first 4. They didn't show enough fighting and the training was the best scene.
 
I saw it yesterday. I haven't sat through a whole Rocky movie, so I can't compare it to anything. It was an alright movie. It wasn't great, but it was okay. I can't say, "if you liked the other Rocky's, you'll love this one." Because I haven't seen the other ones really, like I said before. This movie does play off a lot of things from the older ones though.
 
From what you guys are saying, I will probably enjoy this flick as it sounds like the first movie. Expecting those traning montages and 15 round fights is not what made Rocky good in the first place. It's the message and story behind it, and how Rocky overcame the odds. That loses it's meaning when you have to put him against a superhuman Russian to drive the point home. If you know what I'm talking about. The sequels got unrealistic and away from the point of the original.
