The 19th Annual Bones and Brew festival is a celebration of BBQ and beer in NW Portland's Pearl District. Held Saturday, August 3rd from noon to 9:00pm, and Sunday, August 4th from noon to 5:00pm, Bones and Brew is an all ages street festival.

New this year, the festival will also be the site of the Annual Meeting of Rogue Nation Citizens. The State of the Nation will be addressed and proclamations will be proclaimed. All citizens are called to attend.

Also new to the festival this year, the professional BBQ'ers of the Pacific Northwest Barbecue Association will be competing for a $3,500 purse and the bragging rights that come with being the BBQ Champion of the Rogue Nation.

The festival will also feature a hot wing eating contest, Kobe Blue Ball eating contest, barbecue vendors, live music and more.

ABM, did you make it to the Oregon Brewers' Festival last weekend?

It was a blast on Saturday afternoon. I couldn't stay long, but had some tasty beer, a gyro that was awesome, and then headed back to the 'burbs with friends for a pool party.
