The Ducks beat Ohio State earlier in the year by winning with speed along the edges of the field. Ohio State realized this. The Ducks all year preferred the passing game on the outside edges of the field. Gabriel is just too small to throw over the top of the line. It was shown all year.
All the 5th year seniors Ohio St had on defense showed.
Ducks still have a lot of room to grow on defense if they ever want to win it all. Specifically the secondary. I don’t know if it was scheme or what but they got burned over the top a lot this year.
Buckeyes are losing a ton next year. Wouldn’t surprise me to see them 4th or 5th in the Big 10 next year.
I definitely think they’ll be a touchdown favorite in every CFP game from here on out.
