Justin Rose's victory at the AT&T National helped him secure one of six spots in next week's Open Championship at St. Andrews, the R&A announced.
Rose and Bubba Watson earned two spots from a mini money list that started with the Players Championship in May and concluded with the five tournaments up to and including the AT&T. The top two players on the six-tournament money list not otherwise exempt earn spots. Watson won the previous tournament, the Travelers Championship.
Ryan Moore, who finished second to Rose at Aronimink, secured another spot for being the highest finisher in the top five not already exempt.
