The battle will require 3 verses from each competitor. Verses will have a maximum length of roughly 24 lines. At the end of the battle, the 4 judges will determine who advances into the Semi-finals. In the case of a tie, a popular vote will determine the winner. Good Luck.

This battle was one of the better ones so far. MrJ, really liked the last verse. The idea's not new but props for being the first to implement it, and also you made it work. 44's quotes flowed well with your lines and that's what made it stand out. Overall, MrJ was just heads and shoulders above J_Ray.

My vote's going to MrJ.

I too really liked what you did with the last verse MrJ, as Locke said, its not a new idea, but it was somthing we havent seen implemented here before, and on most internet battles for that fact. My vote is going to Mr J, I just though his punches were harder hitting than J_Rays, although J had some nice wordplay. Loved the Miss USA line, lol.

It was an okay battle but MrJ was just too much for J_Ray. J_Ray had horrible flow in the throughout and the metaphors and wordplay were lacking (substance for that matter). MrJ really dropped some fire wit the reference.
