We just do not play the tempo or style that Rudy fits in with. I am very unhappy with his play lately, but I kind of expected the Spaniard to follow the likes of Sergio, etc under Nate.
How'd Sergio do in Sacramento and New York under faster tempos?
The reality is that Rudy is a huge liability under any system that you're expected to play defense or be able to drive to the basket.
Rudy's in a huge slump. He definitely has talent, but we just haven't seen it in a month. If he was in this type of slump, but trying, and not complaining, then I would say weather the storm. I just don't know that he will ever be the Rudy of old here.
I guess you are right -- yikes. His 3 pt. % wasn't that bad in March and honestly that is about what he is good for. But you are right, not much of a way to sugarcoat this season.Look at his splits month by month ... he's just had a horrible season, not just an off month.

Our team play Sucks, He needs to play on a Good Team to Play Good. One that actually has ball movement.
Fact of the Matter

I want to throw one thought out there. Rudy had a back injury. Back injuries aren't something you just "get over". They are with you for life. I have been wondering if the back injury may have had a serious effect on his career, or maybe at least, on how he plays.

Definitely had a Turkoglu-esque season. Add him to Sergio Rodriguez and Sebastian Telfair as the classic counter-examples to the Jermaine O'Neal "We can't trade him--he's so young we don't even know what we've got" Argument.
