i doubt anyone really expects rubio to come in and contribute a lot right away.

"He's a very good player, but I don't know if he is prepared to play in the NBA," said Fernandez. "I think he's a good player, but this is a big jump for him."
Fernandez said that he plans to speak with Rubio in person now that Portland's season is over, and he has returned to their native country of Spain.
"Then I can explain everything. He's excited to play in the NBA for sure, because for everybody it is a dream to play in the best league in the world," Fernandez continued.
Has anyone else been shocked that Rubio was born merely a couple months before 1991 arrived?

Rubio should sabotage himself so he will fall to Portland.
I'm SO glad this wasn't a link to photos, lol...

Rubio, a mere shadow of Sergio in both talent and experience, would never play significant minutes here under Nate McMillan.
Rudy, who has played extensively with both, obviously rates Sergio much higher.
I don't think there's any evidence that any of this is at all accurate.

KP told Rudy to say these things. So we can trade up to get him. Pritchslapped!

I'll be surprised if Rubio lives up to the hype. I think Rudy is spot on. Guys come up with Rubio's skill set frequently. The great ones are the ones that develop consistent and varied offense to go with the passing and quickness, otherwise they're very mediocre.
