Rumored sign and trade deals

Nene, Boykins and #1 for Kmart.(Reported in todays Daily News and Post)

I'd still prefer KMart but if we are in danger of losing him without getting something in return, those two ain't that bad considering Nene can also play C.

yeah i read that too. it looks good b/c earl can give jason quality rest, nene is up and coming and a first round pick that would likely be a lottery pick. in reality, i doubt this will happen. denver doesnt want to trade nene, now they are expect to trade nene,earl AND a #1 pick? from what i've heard,they are trying to send the nets a few first round picks ONLY for kenyon. i still don't think a trade will go down b/c denver is holding out. if denver offered nene and really...REALLY needed kmart, they would have had a s&t situation agreed on with the nets. they are trying to steal kmart away and keep nene. if there isnt a s&t tonight,which reports seem there will be none, then i expect us to match. with all these 'rumors' i dont think anything will happen basically because denver wont let anything to happen. if they wanted to do a s&t and wanted kmart, i believe this would have been done already. i have the feeling that we are willing to trade kmart b/c of the money, but if denver doesnt give nene, then kmart i have a gut feeling will remain here, where be BELONGS!

How is Denver's # 1 pick going to be a lottery pick,when they are going to be a lock for the playoffs after the deal? Do they have someone else's future 1st round pick they can offer us?

Anyway, Iam not that high on Nene, I mean nothing against him but I dont see him filling K-Marts' shoes. He isnt ready to be a featured post player imo, so I dont see how he can help this current Nets roster compete for a championship. 7 & 5 in the playoiffs last year. I sure do hope the Nets plan on adding more to the frontline before the season starts because a frontline of Nene & JC just isnt going to go anywhere.

Earl Boykins would be a nice return to NJ, But as we learn from Chris Childs in 02' that all returns arent a good thing for the Nets. With our string of bad luck with players these last few years, Earl Boykins could very well go back to the player he was in 99' when we were signing him to those 10-day contracts lol. But he is a bright spot of this trade because he feels a need even tho he is more of a scoring pg then someone that will run a perfect offense while kidd is on the bench. I guess this deal is a good last option, but I pray it doesnt come to this.

3 for 1. I would take it only if it would be the last resort. But Nene numbers would get better just because of JKidd makes everybody better. Look what he did with RJ and Martins numbers they get all those feeds and fast breaks thats how they get the offense going and if kidd can get Nenes offense jump started we'll be good to go. He would have also done the same with Stromile Swifts game. In any course that the nets take will be a good one as long as they can convert and make it fit in the offense.

denver has 1st rd picks form washington,clippers and sixers. i know washington added jamison, sixers have ai and clippers have a shot to get kobe, so all 3 can be lottery teams or only 1 could be a lottery team, it is unlikely none of the three will be a lottery team. i didnt mean denver to give us thier pick, i meant for them to give us they pick they got from washington/philly/clippers. i believe they have a total of 6 1st rd picks but not sure in what years draft each is. i don't think it is six in '05 draft, i think it is more spread out over next 3yrs.

That's exactly how I feel. Of course I don't want the trade to happen but it sure beats getting nothing in return. So if they're going to lose KMart in free agency, might as well get something from it.

But you never know free agency is never for certain just look at carlos boozer. What you say and what you do is two different things

i just hope this ends soon. i cant take this flip-flopping of reports anymore. one day they say kmart is as good as gone, then next they say kmart not likely to leave, then denver wont trade nene, then nets package kenyon/kittles up in a deal.AHHHHHH!!!! i want to know how good we are going to be this upcoming season. plus we need help in other areas and need to move foward in this fa market or a kittles trade going.

ps. kenyon better stay. if ratner lets him leave, via walk or s&t; i can see kidd getting upset b/c he didnt resign to stay on the nets without kmart as a part of the future. if u told jason kmart wasnt guarenteed to come back when kenyon became a RFA, i know kidd wouldn't have resigned with us. is we lose kenyon and ratner gets a bad rep off the bat, you can see this trickle down to kidd wanting to leave then rj not resigning. this is a major move in this franchise's history.
