How can you not love the Portland area on a day like this? I went for a run on my lunch hour and it was perfect... I swear I started floating for a few minutes. I love this weather!

And GO BLAZERS!!!!!

Hell, we're having a dreadful heat wave by the Bay! Even San Francisco was hot yesterday, and as Mark Twain said, the coldest winter is a summer in SF!

The A's game was 85degrees at game time - for an evening game!

And my kitchen fan broke! Luckily I found a nice (female!) electrician to fix it on short notice - she only charged $50 parts & labor.

Spud, are you going to be doing Devil's Canyon relay?

I like to run the PDX waterfront loop during lunch on days like this. Perfect!

No we aren't signed up... what's the link?

There's a group of about 6 of us that run and we're always up for an adventure! We just did http://thecolorrun.com/portland/ Saturday... it was their first time in Portland and it sold out fast! Super fun!!!

I have the Zombie Run (Dayton) and the Mighty Oaks Acorn 5k (Corvallis) this month and am thinking about signing up for the Willamette Valley Fruit (Salem I think) and the Trick or Treat run in Aloha on the 27th if I can come up with the money. I have the will but not the pocketbook sometimes!

Are you signed up for the Warrior Dash yet? It's almost a year away and we all managed to get in the Saturday 11am wave on the first day sign ups were open but they were already down to like 100 spots left in that heat. They're going fast!

Seriously... I felt euphoric for the rest of the day. I am in Salem and our waterfront has some nice running trails but PDX is in a class of it's own.

It's absolutely awesome weather! ( I believe yesterday's 80+ day was only the second time in Oregon history that Portland has hit over 80 in the month of October. :) )

Gonna be going to Bend for an extended weekend (via the Gorge, then south from Hood River. Oh, the colors!!). Will be running a 10K there this Sunday to help support the Alzheimer Association.
