Rush Limbaugh, 69, reveals he has been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer
  • The radio personality told listeners the news live on his show Monday afternoon
  • He told them he will not be on the air for some days due to treatment
  • The staunch Republican is a friend of President Donald Trump and the pair have been spotted golfing together on a number of occasions
  • 'This day has been one of the most difficult days in recent memory' he said

Very sad. I disagree with just about everything that he says, but there's no denying that he is a great entertainer and communicator, great at what he does, and he revolutionized radio.
 
Not a fan of his, not that he is a republican, rather the fact that he understands that he supports corruption and gets paid very well to do so.

Not a big fan of cancer either. Hopefully it takes him quickly, no need to linger around in pain. Hopefully he lives in a medical marijuana state, it will help.

Unfortunately, cancer is seldom that merciful when it comes to pain...maryjane may help with chemo discomfort but won't be much help near the end and much more potent pain meds pretty much keep the individual knocked out or semi-conscious.

Trust me, it's not a pleasant way to die and it's nearly as tough on relatives who have to endure watching their loved one waste away..

fwiw, The Hospice people are incredible.
 
Cigar smoker I think. Can’t really stand his brand of entertainment but I wouldn’t go as far as mockery, like some of more classless, emotionally devoid posters in this thread. Well, one in particular.

I agree with both. My mother, brother, two aunts and three uncles all died of cancer and I've dealt with it twice. So, yeah, I hate cancer.
On the other hand, we're talking about Rush Limbaugh here. I think champagne is in order.

Also my stepfather and dear sweet mother-in-law. Three of these people died in my arms.

You better close it. I cant think of anything nice to say about Rush Limbaugh, he has been a cancer now he has it. Cant say I feel sorry for him one bit and I know how bad its going to be, just went though it with my mom.

I remember in 1972 when Alabama governor and renowned bigot George Wallace got shot. I said to my mom, "isn't that great?" She taught me the life lesson that, no, it was not.
 
He did say smokers should get a medal.
